A schedule can be two things: a wily structure we create to block things in and block things out, or a creative and mindful expression of how we want to spend our time. A schedule can be an excuse. A schedule can be a key that unlocks a certain kind of freedom. I'm trying to leverage my schedule as the latter. Not an impersonal tool I use to throw elbows to keep the crowds away or an invisible dome of not-having-to-deal-with-my-feelings-by-avoiding-saying-what-I-really-want-by-just-relying-on-my-schedule. Instead, I'm looking at this schedule thing as a tool, a key, a powerful expression of what I do want to do, and how I choose to organize my time.
